Landed at LAX at 10am this morning, and headed to the office after a quick shower and bite to eat at mom & pop’s place.
I think I slept 6 or 7 hours on the flight home, so I feel great. But we’ll see how tomorrow goes.
Our business meetings went very well, and we’ll be planning next steps tomorrow.
I got to try a new restaurant this time: a famous yakiniku (焼き肉) place called Jojoen (叙々苑), in Nishi Azabu near Roppongi. Also went back to Zipangu (ジパング), which was great, both the food and view.
I always enjoy visiting Japan, but I’m glad to be home – and it’s nice to be away from that heat and humidity.

Carol e-mailed with some surprising news: KTLA anchor Hal Fishman died from colon cancer. It was detected only a week ago.
Back in the day, our family liked to point out while watching the KTLA 10PM newscast that Hal Fishman took 95% of the airtime, giving his co-anchors only the fluff stories, which we found highly entertaining, and good for many laughs.
Read Hal Fishman’s tribute here.
