Hello Howard,
I don’t know if you remember me. I used to work in the Creative Department of WHV, on the same floor as you in the Glass Building. I got an e-mail last week about a kid named Dale that is in need of a bone marrow transplant. In searching for the validity of the story, I came upon your site. I hope you don’t mind but I got a chance to read some of your blogs. I decided to write to you because I read your comments on Yakitori-ya and I thought you might be interested in another kushiyaki place that I think is fantastic. Personally, I like it because its not all chicken based like your traditional yakitori places. Its called Sakura House located in a strip mall on Washington, accross the street from CostCo. Perhaps you’ve already been there but if you haven’t, I would like to suggest it to you. I was kind of skeptical at first because it doesn’t look Japanese owned or operated but I guess you can’t judge by appearance alone because the staff is definitely Japanese. Here is a link:

I hope you get a chance to try it. By the way, do you play baseball? I ask because I’m a manager of an NAU team and I’m always looking for players. In fact the e-mail about Dale was from another manager in the league. I’m from Texas where there wasn’t anything close to the NAU so it has been a great experience being involved with some of “my” people here in SoCal. Anyway I hope this e-mail finds you well.
