Consistently Inconsistent

Sue and I went to last night’s Dodgers game vs. the Colorado Rockies.Kaz Ishii was pitching, and it was BLUE HAIR NIGHT. How could we miss?

Ishii’s 1st inning pitch count was an astounding 30.

At that rate over nine innings…270 pitches (typically 100+/-)

The first 1 innings took nearly 45 minutes.

But in spite of all this, Kaz was always in the game.

In the top of the 3rd he easily retired the side, 1-2-3.

Even when the Dodgers were down 3-1 in the 2nd inning, two runs were unearned (Izturis throwing error), and another was a home run hit by the Rockies’ pitcher, Mike Hampton.

The Dodgers lost, 4-1.

Kaz Ishii is now 11-3, with a 3.36 ERA.
