Mule days

The drive to Mammoth last Memorial Day weekend took Dr. Mike and I through Bishop and their annual “Mule Days” celebration.I’ve lost count how many years I’ve passed by Mule Days in Bishop. And always wondering what the heck it’s all about.

Well, this CNN story about the first cloned mule reminded me to Google “Mule Days.”

Turns out there’s a web site explaining all the Mule Days hoopla. It’s been going on since 1969. Imagine that.

For those of you interested, the CNN story explains that a mule is a cross between a male donkey and female horse. You’ll have to read the article to learn what a male horse and female donkey produces.
