Free Wi-Fi

Intel is hosting “One Unwired Day” on Thurs. Sept. 25 — the idea being to offer free wireless Internet access at various spots across the U.S., and hopefully convince a big chunk of folks that wi-fi is a cool technology (which it is).Learn all about it at this Intel web site.

Hope my new Fujitsu notebook PC arrives in time for the festivities.

Last Friday in Redmond, my loaner Sony notebook PC picked up Microsoft’s company wi-fi network, but unfortunately it was a secure system, so I had to go with the hardwire Ethernet connection. They did offer to set up an account for me, which was cool.
