Back in Tokyo

Arrived here Sunday evening on the Nozomi shinkansen from Kyoto. Due to the 3-day weekend (Friday was a national holiday – 1st day of autumn), the regular section was totally packed, so I decided to take the Green car (1st class), which cost $35 more, but allowed me to hop on to the next train at 6:26pm, rather than waiting an hour and a half.I got to the hotel at 9:30pm, and the concierge kindly had some shoga sembei and ocha waiting in my room. I had this for breakfast the next day — first stop was Family Mart, for my musubi and egg sandwich. The Suntory Malts beer was pretty tasty, too.
