However, Zagat gave it a great review, saying “definitely sit at the sushi bar” and “you won’t be disappointed by the omakase (お任せ),” so we decided to give it a try.
I think my favorite sushi was the ankimo, served gunkan style. It was very fresh, but not too heavy as it sometimes can be. And it was balanced with just a small amount of gohan, which gave it a good overall texture.
Since we had the omakase, it was a bit pricey, but the food and service were excellent, so I would highly recommend Japan Bistro.
