That was the fitting headline in today’s L.A. Times.
After catching the 2nd half on the radio, and reading this morning’s sports page, kudos to the Bruins, who stepped up in a big game and shut down the Trojan offense.
By the way, listening to the game was a nice distraction from the traffic jam on PCH, as a broken watermain created a 15-foot sinkhole on the southbound lane near Malibu.
Meanwhile, Michigan fans are keeping their fingers crossed:
Florida is the new No. 2 team in the USA Today coaches poll, jumping from fourth and passing the Wolverines, who remain No. 3.
Although the official BCS championship game pairings won’t be announced until tonight at 8, the first component is in and the USA Today coaches’ poll has Florida with 26-point lead over Michigan, 1,470-1,444.
The coaches poll is a one-third component of the overall BCS rankings formula.
Looks like at least one Michigan fan owes the Bruins an apology.
