Went to Kazu Sushi last night, where I haven’t been to in years, and we had some excellent sushi, and fun conversation.
It was very funny that Kazu knew that when a Kyoto person asks if you’d like some ochazuke, what they are really asking you is to politely leave, as you’ve overstayed your welcome.
Apparently, Honne (本音) is pushed way back among Kyoto people (i.e. much tatemae 建前).
Kazu sends his regards to Dr. Mike and Steve.
