50th anniversary (surprise) party

Yesterday we celebrated mom & pop’s 50th anniversary party at Lawry’s restaurant in Beverly Hills. It was a wonderful party, and everyone had a great time. Mom and pop were really surprised, as we had 60 to 70 family and friends attend, including some people they hadn’t seen in a long time.

Sue and Carol spent months of hard work planning the party. Many people commented on what a great party it was, how beautiful the room looked, etc. See below (click photos to enlarge):

Lawry’s rents out their restaurant for private parties during lunchtime — we had the main dining hall all to ourselves, so it made the party feel very special.

As I think back on the party, I’m reminded how many wonderful family members and good friends we have, and how truly lucky we are to have them in our lives.

I think we all agree that at the end of the day, it is our relationships with family and friends that give our lives true meaning.

Here are some more pictures from the party…

A few tables were used for the guest book and old family photo albums.

Mom, Pop, congratulations and thank you for everything you’ve done for our family. Here’s wishing you many more years of health and happiness!
